Realized earlier today that it is have a little over a month since the last time I updated the blog. This is due, in large part, to my schedule the last month.
I had the opportunity to present the "Reframing Your Perspective" workshop at the GMHCN Annual Summer Conference in St. Simmons which was from August 20-22. Then I was home for a week before heading out of town again, this time for Dragon Con.
I had a great time at Dragon Con, where I completed my 8th year as a volunteer, and as usual when I came home I was completely exhausted both physically and mentally. The difference being that this year I didn't really have the opportunity to take some downtime to recharge because I was working hard to complete the final arrangements of the "Fighting the Darkness" event last week.
This past week I've been trying to get back into something resembling a routine and also allowing myself to take the time to recharge my batteries a bit, which included clearing out my art space at home and slowly decluttering my room again.
While I was at the Summer Conference I was introduced to fluidic acrylic painting by my art mentor/muse Samuel Rapier. I've created several pieces of varying sizes over the last couple of weeks and it has provided a great release.
My schedule is still a bit hectic, especially with the responsibilities I have related to Toastmasters and as such I have decided to take a step back from the blog a bit. Moving forward my goal will be to post at least once a week instead of trying to keep up with posting three days a week. Also planning to focus more on sharing my art work and speeches, in particular videos of my speeches whenever possible.
For now here are some of my favorite pieces I've created recently:
